Frenzy (Bonus Round)
Every once in a while, a Bonus Round triggers randomly while you're tapping. This is your chance to earn massive rewards through a two-phase minigame: first pop balloons to accumulate time, then tap the Joker in Frenzy Mode with a super multiplier and boosted Joker drop rates.
The bonus round has a 0.08% chance (1 in 1,250) of triggering on any given tap. It's random and can't be forced, but the more you tap, the more likely you are to see one. Once triggered, you have 10 minutes to start it before it expires -- so don't wait too long!

Phase 1: Balloon Round
When the bonus round triggers, you'll see a "BONUS ROUND TRIGGERED!" splash screen with the instruction to pop balloons and increase your Frenzy Mode duration. Tap Start to begin.
In the balloon round, colorful balloons float across the screen and you need to tap them to pop them. Each popped balloon adds (or subtracts!) seconds to your Frenzy Mode timer. The round lasts for a fixed duration, and your goal is to accumulate as many seconds as possible.
Balloon Types
There are four variants of balloons, each with different difficulty and value:
| Type | Taps to Pop | Value | Spawn Weight | Strategy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic (easy) | 1 | +0.5 seconds | 60% | Tap everything -- these are your bread and butter |
| Basic (medium) | 3 | +2.0 seconds | 20% | Worth the effort -- 3 taps for 2 full seconds |
| Basic (hard) | 5 | +3.5 seconds | 10% | High reward but time-consuming -- prioritize if you can |
| Skull | 1 | -3.0 seconds | 10% | Avoid at all costs! One tap and you lose 3 seconds |
The key strategy is to pop as many basic balloons as possible while carefully avoiding skull balloons. A single misplaced tap on a skull balloon wipes out the equivalent of 6 easy balloons worth of time.
The total seconds you accumulate become the duration of your Frenzy Mode in Phase 2. More seconds = more time to tap with a super multiplier.
Phase 2: Frenzy Mode
After the balloon round ends, you transition into Frenzy Mode. The game assigns you a random multiplier tier and a boosted Joker drop rate. You'll see a "FRENZY MODE!" splash screen showing your rewards:
Frenzy Multiplier Tiers
The multiplier tier you receive is completely random, with each tier having an equal chance:
| Multiplier | Joker Drop Rate | Chance | Compared to Normal |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2x | 0.10% | 25% | 2x Funz, 2x Joker chance |
| 3x | 0.15% | 25% | 3x Funz, 3x Joker chance |
| 4x | 0.20% | 25% | 4x Funz, 4x Joker chance |
| 5x | 0.25% | 25% | 5x Funz, 5x Joker chance |
Even the lowest tier (2x) doubles your earnings, and the best tier (5x) is absolutely massive. Combined with the boosted Joker drop rate (up to 5x the normal 0.05%), Frenzy Mode is the best time to tap as fast as humanly possible.
During Frenzy Mode, the screen takes on a distinctive green tint and the Joker glows. Your only job is to tap as fast as you can for the duration you earned in the balloon round:
When time runs out, you'll see your total Frenzy earnings:
Tips for Frenzy
- Don't activate boosters specifically for Frenzy -- you can't predict when it will trigger, so use boosters for regular play and treat Frenzy as a bonus
- During the balloon round, focus on avoiding skulls more than popping every basic balloon. Losing 3 seconds hurts more than gaining 0.5 seconds helps
- During Frenzy Mode, tap as fast as possible. Energy is not consumed during Frenzy, so there's no reason to hold back
- Don't ignore the trigger -- you have 10 minutes to start the bonus round, but don't forget about it
Under the hood: The balloon round runs over a WebSocket connection for real-time interaction. The server controls balloon spawning (rate and type are configurable in the database), calculates balloon positions frame-by-frame, and validates tap positions server-side with a leniency bonus for network latency. This prevents cheating while still feeling responsive. See the WebSocket contract page for the full technical protocol including message types, payload formats, and the gameplay sequence diagram.
